API structuring improvements according to design guidelines by Brecht,
for more info see

Created *_api.c files in makesrna/intern. Among these only rna_api.c
is compiled on preprocesssing step. It contains code declaring RNA
struct functions, for example RNA_api_mesh declares all functions on
Mesh. The rest *_api.c files contain functions themselves.

Removed interface_api.c and moved its contents to rna_api.c.

Added remove_mesh function on Main.

Replaced copy and copy_mesh on Mesh with make_rendermesh which currently
does the same as copy_applied did (grasping mesh-related stuff needs

SConscript tweaking so it builds ok.

To allow file selector, I made the following changes:

- moved property definition funcs (FloatProperty, etc.) to "bpy.props"
to make them accessible from io scripts. Previously they were only
accessible in scripts running from Text Editor.

- added the "__operator__" instance attribute to py operators. The value
  is RNA operator pointer.

Note that "context.add_fileselect" changes were mistakenly committed
with my last merge.

- Changing visible layers for armatures now sends notifiers
- Made the bone buttons show the layers data

I also tried making the bone buttons show for 'PoseChannels' instead of the raw bones since this is more correct for most editing that can be done (i.e. when posing). For editmode though, we'd need to wrap EditBones in some way? However, I couldn't seem to get this to work due to the way paths are resolved.

Added a new template for layer-buttons, which auto-determines the layout of the buttons instead of relying on some hardcoded pattern for n-layers (i.e. 16 or 20 currently). This is a still bit rough, and could do with some refining to allow us to define what extra info (icons) should get drawn on the buttons or so.

Currently, this is only used in the Armature buttons to allow showing/hiding layers.

Note that we allow negative value, but the current draw code

Quick Color picker alternative!

- only a color circle + value slider
- exits immediate after use, or slight mouse move outside picker
- use scrollwheel to change HSV 'value'. Also works while picking.
- added nicer AA'ed cursor in picker
- All color swatches change 'value' on ALT+Wheel mouse-over

Old picker is still there, under SHIFT+click on swatch. Needs
evaluation... part of UI keymap? Per button type? Or divide
picker in left/right? Or just have all those old picker buttons
in another panel... I'm not to fond of this giant old popup.

This fixes
* some issues with Scene strips containing audio by removing
  the curpos pointer from sequence structure. (the same scene
  strip can now be used in a row)

  That also makes the code a lot cleaner.
* fixed a corner case on the beginning of a strip, where audio was
  not mixed in, depending of current audio buffer state.

* Also: made some hardwired variables macros to enhance readability.

Problem remaining: mixing the same scene strip several times (read
put it into a stack instead of into a row) has
problems with HD-audio since the same HD-audio state structure is
used and therefore the system will seek permanently, which leads to
audio distortions...

- Make search menu dynamic, with configurable number of items? And/or
  multi-collumn... for now it's static

Built in limitations for script scanning was making python fail on meta-androcto script pack.

If a total of 30 subdirs was hit, or 4 dirs deep was hit - script scanning would quit, skipping files in the root scripts path too.

To work around this the script pack included some of blenders scripts twice just so they would get into the menu but this is a dodgy workaround.

* dont stop scanning for scripts when limits are reached (just dont scan further).
* global 30 dir limit per scan is silly - removed.
* limit recursive depth is kept but keep scanning at lower depths.
* bumped recursive limit from 4 to 6

* had #!BPY without a menu header.

Not sure about function placement and naming though.
Put both functions in editmesh.c, mesh editor module. Added prototypes
to rna_internal.h. Prefixed both with "RNA_api_".

Wanted to code Mesh.copy so that it copies Mesh data from another object
instead of creating a new Mesh, but this needs CustomData manipulations
which I should study later.

Maybe we need a separate file for API functions? e.g. mesh_api.c?

Fix for bug #18881 and #18866: Surface option for Fields crashed
on non-mesh objects, so hide it if not applicable. Also made it

Needed to set the context that menu item operators are executed in.

fixed missing NULL check with anim system debug printing.

- clamp the border to the region bounds when selecting files
- fix for border select past the end of the filelist selecting nothing.
- de-selecting files would still set the filename.

* Game and sequencer RNA, and sequencer header are now out of date
  a bit after changes in trunk.
* I didn't know how to port these bugfixes, most likely they are
  not needed anymore.
  * Fix "duplicate strip" always increase the user count for ipo.
  * IPO pinning on sequencer strips was lost during Undo.

Small fixes:

- Preview render now accepts resize of 1 pixel without re-render,
  solves re-renders on scrolling window or dragging panel, because
  of float rounding.
- Panel dragging outline was off 0.5 pixel, showed as fat AA lines
- On switching tab, the preview gets re-rendered

Down with smart, up with simple!
I now use the widget polygon code to generate a mask quad strip,
draw it over the image, and then the AA outline. Should work on
all systems.

Removed masking idea for preview draw, it appears Win32 && X11 windows
are 24 bits, not 32 bits with alpha. Not going to open that can of worm
to add this, will find a different masking method...

Preview renders:

- Added proper button type (BUT_EXTRA) for preview buttons, to
  handle drawing better. It now first draws an alpha mask, to
  ensure the preview is correctly fitting inside the widget style.
  It then draws the outline.
- Added protection for executing preview renders while regular
  rendering, that's not going to work...

When an Animation Editor is showing timing in 'seconds' (instead of frames), the indicator label is now drawn with the same style of timecodes as the scrollbar labels are.

Win GUI fix: Blender won't hide behind the taskbar anymore on startup (in non maximized mode). Until now, the bottom of Blender always got hidden behind the taskbar - verified to fix at least Win7 + XP

- Windows devs (elubie, jesterKing): please check this fix.
